Southeast Mesa Library design discussed

Wood and weathered-steel construction materials are planned for a new public library on the west side of Eastmark Parkway, north of Ray Road and east of Crismon Road in Mesa.

The landscaping and look of the Southeast Mesa Library on 7 acres were discussed at the Dec. 13 work session of the Mesa Design Review Board. The board is to vote on the design and landscaping at a 4:30 p.m. Jan. 10 meeting in the lower council chambers, 57 E. First St.

The site plan shows a 28,250-square-foot building with a sprawling footprint and three main entrances to the building, Staff Planner Jennifer Merrill said at the work session.
