Phoenix police ID victim killed in double shooting

A 29-year-old man has been identified as the victim in a shooting earlier this week in Phoenix.
Rashaad Johnson was killed in the shooting near 1300 West Sunland Avenue that occurred at about 12:50 a.m. Oct. 14'.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 32-year-old woman was taken to a hospital where authorities said earlier that she is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

A 29-year-old man has been identified as the victim in a shooting earlier this week in Phoenix.
Rashaad Johnson was killed in the shooting near 1300 West Sunland Avenue that occurred at about 12:50 a.m. Oct. 14'.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 32-year-old woman was taken to a hospital where authorities said earlier that she is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary information gathered by homicide investigators suggest the man was in a confrontation outside of his apartment that escalated into the shooting, the release stated.
During the shooting, both victims were struck by gunfire. Several residences in the area also were hit, police said.
