Backers pledge continued fights as Paradise Valley ups restrictions on assisted-living homes

Lawyer: All potential avenues for recourse are being explored

Paradise Valley Town Council recently unanimously approved a proposal to reduce occupancy in local assisted living facilities from 10 to six residents.

While council members said the decision was foundational to the voter-approved general plan, many opposed say it pushes out a needed housing option of great value that keeps families in close proximity as their loved ones age.

Despite the vote, some say they will keep fighting for assisted living in Paradise Valley.
