Efforts to get a long-term solution to the water hauling problem in the Rio Verde Foothills are moving forward but how they are being handled is leaving some property owners crying foul.
Private water company EPCOR was granted the right to build a standpipe in the community northeast of Scottsdale to provide the wet stuff to homes that rely on hauled water back in November 2023.
EPCOR’s plan is to serve all the inhabited homes in the area that need hauled water as well as the first 150 parcels without inhabited homes on them with the new standpipe.
