Some Valley hotel industry leaders concerned over strike

Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association officials hope the recent hotel strike impacting major U.S. cities doesn’t extend to the Grand Canyon State.

Reports said about 10,000 “hotel workers at 25 hotels stretching from Boston to the West Coast to Hawaii went on strike starting early Sunday” morning, according to CNN.

The unionized workers went on strike in the middle of Labor Day holiday amid demands for better pay and improved working conditions, according to reports.
