Some Peoria Unified families outraged over screening of inauguration in classrooms

Teachers have long taken the opportunity to show historical events to students when presented on television by news organizations, especially if they are happening in real time.

The inauguration of President Joe Biden, broadcast across all spectrum of media on Jan. 20, was an example of this, and some Peoria Unified School District teachers used it to show how the U.S. transfers power from one president to the next.

Some families in the district, however, were not happy about this.
