SmokeTree earns Planning Commision approval

Town Council to consider project Oct. 12

Redevelopment of the shuttered SmokeTree Resort in Paradise Valley is recommended for approval by the Paradise Valley Planning Commission.

The proposal for the five-acre site, which opened in 1956 near Lincoln and Scottsdale roads, will go to the Paradise Valley Town Council on Oct. 12.

The project will transform the resort into an 82-room boutique hotel with meeting rooms and restaurants. The restaurants include an all-day market bistro and a dinner-only fine dining restaurant known as the French Cowboy.
