Smith: Peoria needs to fund Paloma Park

Councilmember Brad Shafer is right on the money. We voters chose to fund the completion of Paloma Park, not smear the money over other parks maintenance concerns. We presently drive to Rio Vista three times a week to use the gym which adds to congestion which you may have noticed is really getting bad. I smell a plan to take the bond money for the park and put it into the new mayor's dream of a Peoria airport. Bad idea.
