As girls are wont to do, sisters Ariana Dinu, 12, and Carina Dinu, 8, decided they wanted to go for a ride so they got on their bikes a couple of weeks ago and they pedaled ... and pedaled ... and pedaled.
When all was said and done, both girls had finished the 102-mile El Tour de Tucson.
At 5 hours and 53 minutes, Ariana came in first in the under 17 age class and Carina was recognized as the youngest cyclist to complete the race. That’s two years younger than when Ariana first finished it at the age of 10.
