After a nearly a four-year legal battle over sissoo trees in the plush Arcadia at Silverleaf neighborhood, a conclusion might be reached within a month, according to the man who has sued the homeowners’ association over the trees.
However DC Ranch Executive Director Jenna Kohl predicts the situation maybe me many more months until it's resolved.
The dispute centers on about 670 sissoo trees the community developer planted when the neighborhood of million-dollar homes, which is part of the larger DC Ranch Subdivision, was originally built. Many find the trees beautiful but the roots are invasive and known for breaking water and sewer lines in people’s homes as well as things like uplifting sidewalks.
