In time of novel coronavirus, remote workplaces become a common 21st Century trend

Telecommute continues; more employers interview remotely

As concerns over the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis have driven a wave of U.S. workers to embrace the work-from-home trend — those offering jobs training and pursuing new hires have followed suit.

Gallup recently published findings from its annual Work and Education Poll conducted July 30-Aug. 12.

The pollster found more than one-quarter of American workers (26%) are now working entirely from home; while more than half (51%) still work only from outside the home, according to the Aug. 31 report.
