Before the Sedona International Film Festival marks its return in February, the annual event earned a high distinction.

MovieMaker Magazine named the Festival, which celebrated its 30th anniversary earlier this year, as one of the “25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World” for 2024. The honor elevates the Sedona International Film Festival among the world’s most revered celebrations of cinema for filmmakers, industry mavens, and film fans.

“With its gala screenings and wild after-parties, it will be here for many more years to come,” Moviemaker wrote in its article. “Given Sedona’s famed red-rock formations, it’s no wonder the festival has already been recognized by MovieMaker’s 20 Great Film Festivals in Vacation Destinations list. The 2025 Sedona International Film Festival will run from Feb. 22 through March 2.
