Taking football players to showcases attended by college recruiters is paying off for Apache Junction High School athletes, with letters pouring in with interest, a coach reports.
Defensive Line Coach Lance Uehling recalled how he recently went to the high school to watch film to prepare for this year’s season and was surprised at the number of letters that had come in a week.
A photo he snapped with a smartphone shows nearly 20 envelopes addressed to students in care of guidance counselors and the head football coach.
