St. Vincent de Paul distributes 45,000 pairs of underwear through its dining rooms and transitional shelters every year, and it needs more.

Unlike other clothing donations, underwear must be new, according to a release from St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix.  When donations fall short, SVdP must make purchases to meet the need.

To address the need, SVdP’s Show You Care Donate Underwear Drive, happening throughout October, provides a way for the community to donate new packs of underwear to those who need them most, according to the organization.

SVdP is encouraging individuals and organizations to join the drive by hosting a donation box and filling it with packs of new underwear. Each box holds up to 250 pairs of underwear.

WAYS TO DONATE:

1. Sign up for a box or boxes and register your drive with SVdP
2. SVdP will pick up donation box(es) or they can be dropped off at:

   • - SVdP’s main campus2120 S. 3rd Drive, Phoenix.
   •  - Arizona Financial Credit Union participating branches.
   •  - Better Business Bureau 1010 E. Missouri Ave., Phoenix.
3. Send new underwear to SVdP through the drive’s Amazon Wish List
