A Phoenix man called emergency personnel in fear over what he said were 20 individuals circling his residence on a Thursday night near 67th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

Deputies from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office met the man just outside a wooden gate dimly lit by outdoor patio string lights.

The man — who was strictly a Spanish speaker — was animated and could be seen flailing his arms at times as Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez spoke to him.
