Two children and their mother died Monday morning in a Phoenix shooting that occurred after another shooting in Glendale, police said.

Officers responded just after midnight May 25 to Tailgaters Bar in the 6000 block of West Bell Road, Glendale, after a man reported his wife had shot at him.

However, a woman was shot in the back of her head, and the husband said his wife left the scene in a gray SUV. The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, police said.
