Shooter’s World of Peoria, 8966 W. Cactus Road, was evacuated after fire and hazmat personnel were called to the business Friday afternoon.
Peoria Fire-Medical Department spokesman Mark Barbee said units from Peoria, Glendale and Phoenix fire departments responded to a hazardous situation at Shooters World due to an unknown odor that was causing respiratory irritation to customers and staff.
He said the source was found to be smoldering rubber material that was not initially visible in the shooing range, which was extinguished.
