Shirley Ann Conry, 68Sun City West resident Shirley Ann Conry, 68, died peacefully March 15 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Ms. Conry was born Aug. 20, 1939 to Nic and Olivia Gengler and later moved to Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy in 1957 and Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in social work.Ms. Conry married her high school sweetheart, Dan Conry, June 25, 1960 and is survived by him and their four sons: Michael, Patrick, Timothy and Sean. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Courtney, Casey, Nicolas, Nathan, Jack and Declan; sisters Catherine Schmitz and Betty Linebarger; brother Paul Conry; sister-in-law Catherine Gengler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Shirley Conry Memorial Scholarship at Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa; Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix; and Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale.A funeral mass was held 10:30 a.m. April 1 at Christ the King Chapel on the Loras College campus.
