Sherrie, 75, passed away from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on March 20, 2019.Born on March 13, 1944 she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Huston Rockwell at the age of one day old. Sherrie grew up in Upper Arlington, OH and graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1962. Sherrie was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Rockwell. Sherrie worked at the Christopher Inn; which was an iconic hotel in downtown Columbus, OH. She worked in accounts payable and accounts receivable at Beaver Adhesives in Columbus, OH and retired from Evans Adhesives in 2008.Sherrie along with the love of her life, Douglas Konkler, whom she leaves behind to mourn her loss, moved to Sun City in 2008. She has enjoyed her time in Sun City with the beautiful weather and gave of herself and followed her loving spirit by giving back and volunteering with Benevilla Communities.Sherrie is proceeded in death by her parents and a brother, Earl Brown and former husband, Clifford Gaver. Also, left to mourn her loss, her son Fred Depietro; grandsons, Freddie and Alex; step-daughter, Brandy Salyers; 3 step-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Speakman; half-sisters, Helen Conrad, Freda Utt and Juanita Comeau; nieces, nephews and cousins. Grieving terribly are her 4 legged children, Wilbur, Katie and Frankie. A private celebration of her life was held on Sunday, March 24th, with close family and friends. Sherrie's final act of "GIVING" was to be donated to science care so that others may benefit.If you wish to make a donation to any charity in Sherrie's name, choose an animal shelter or animal rescue of your choice.
