Sheriff: Armed, dangerous suspect on run after deadly Pinal County shooting

Posted

Pinal County deputies are searching for a man suspected of shooting and killing his wife Monday night at a home on Padilla Road near Stanfield, authorities said.

The suspect, Ismael Ortega Hernandez, 32, ran away from the house after the shooting authorities said, adding that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

PCSO received a call about 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, from a child who said a family member was dying and that the 30-year-old victim’s husband shot her.

The suspect’s cell phone was found in the area, PCSO officials said. They described him as being between 5-feet-5 to 5-feet-7 with a thin build and last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information should call 911 or the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.
