The community of Sun City West is filled with avid cyclists.
On any given day a bike and driver of an automobile or golf car are sharing the road. Concerns from drivers and cyclists were on the minds of many individuals in the community. PORA Roads, Traffic and Safety Committee member Jeff Bodmer represents the Sun City West Cycle Club. The topic of bike, golf car and driver safety is a reoccurring subject at the committee meetings.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Zane Hagen said during the Dec. 16 meeting one of the challenges is most places don’t have the volume of riders Sun City West does and it create a unique challenge.
