Phoenix plans to spend $23.6 million on public art over the next five years.
That is 2026-31 budget is a slight decrease from the $24.4 million in the 2025-30 budget.
“Public art just does something that no road or building does on its own. It inspires, it beautifies our neighborhoods, it makes us stop and look,” Ann O’Brien, chair of the Phoenix Economic Development and Arts Subcommittee said during its May 14 meeting. “… It reflects who we are as a community and invites everyone, residents and visitors, to see themselves in Phoenix.”
