Mesa residents live in two school districts — East Valley Institute of Technology and either Mesa Unified School District, Queen Creek Unified School District or Gilbert Public Schools. All four entities were asked recently to provide information on funds spent on out-of-court settlements, with varying results.
Separate public records requests were made seeking a five-year examination of out-of-court settlements including when it was filed, when the settlement was made, the settlement amount, claimant, description of loss or claim and the department.
