Seniors make mats out of plastic bags in Sun City West

Donate to homeless

Seniors at The Heritage Tradition in Sun City West put a special craft to work to give back.

Residents began working on this project a month ago and completed 10 mats to donate to St. Vincent De Paul. The mats were made out of plastic shopping bags. For residents that could not crochet, other important jobs were assigned, such as cutting and tying and collecting shopping bags.

“The Heritage residents love giving back and part of our community Zest program involves being active in volunteering,” Joan Vere, The Heritage Tradition said.
