The doors are open and seniors from the Sun Cities and surrounding areas are getting comfortable at the new senior center.
There were 203 seniors who visited the pantry on opening day on Monday, which is 20% more than the record number breaking number from earlier this month. With 155 stopping in for lunch or grabbing to-go meals.
The Banner Olive Branch Senior Center, 13049 N. 103rd Ave, has a new location and this 25,000-square-foot facility is three times bigger than the previous location. The center works to maintain and improve seniors’ nutrition as an essential service. According to center officials, Olive Branch strives to help older adults maintain health and independence and avoid complications from chronic health conditions.
