Senior isolation challenges residents in the Sun Cities

Seniors Helping Seniors creates unique companionship

Senior isolation and social loneliness were magnified throughout the COVID pandemic, and the Sun Cities saw prime examples of the secondary effects of lockdowns and isolation.

While some took park in driveway concerts, socially distanced walks and FaceTime calls, many spent the time inside their homes, with little to no interaction with others in the community, but isolation amongst seniors continues to be a challenge.

And the impact of those changes continues to linger.
