The city of Phoenix allocated $1.7 million in community arts grants for the new fiscal year.
All 81 organizations that applied for general support grants were awarded some funding from the Phoenix Arts and Culture Department, totaling $1.1 million. Of the 62 organizations that applied for project funding, 57 were awarded a grant, totaling $238,550.
The Fiscal Year 2026-27 community arts grants budget, approved by city council on July 1, also includes $225,000 for rental support and $77,500 for discretionary spending. The funding comes from the city’s general fund and support from the Phoenix Convention Center.
