Maricopa County administers city, town, school district, special district, state and federal elections.
Since the 2020 general election, the county has been fighting off misinformation and claims of election fraud, and earlier this year released a report refuting an election audit ordered by the Arizona Senate.
The report, issued by the Maricopa County Elections Department and Office of the Recorder, found that nearly every claim in the audit included faulty analysis, inaccurate information, misleading conclusions, and a lack of understanding of federal and state election laws, according to the report.
