Scottsdale’s trolley service to be taken over by new company

The City of Scottsdale is moving forward with its plan to switch trolley operators despite a lawsuit claiming the bidding process for the contract was conducted arbitrarily .

The city council approved during its Sept. 8 meeting a lease agreement for $500 per month for office space for the new operator, Saint Louis, Missouri-based MTM Transit.

The lease was on the consent agenda, which was approved unanimously.
