Scottsdale’s top municipal executives among the Valley’s highest paid

The West’s Most Western Town is still one of the Valley’s top paying city for top municipal executives, according a to a survey of the Valley’s municipal salaries.

The exception to that rule is Scottsdale City Manager Greg Caton, who is the third highest paid city manager in the Valley. The position was the second highest paid in the area a year ago but the slip is due to the fact Caton is new to the position.

“Working for the city of Scottsdale means being part of something bigger,” Scottsdale spokeswoman Holly Peralta said in an email to the Daily Independent. “We value our employees through competitive salaries and benefits, and offer meaningful careers with room to grow.”
