Scottsdale’s tentative budget set at $2.29 billion

The Scottsdale City Council locked in the level of next year’s city budget at $2.29 billion during its May 14 meeting.

Being a tentative budget, the amount can no longer go up, though money can still be shifted around until the council adopts the final budget on June 4.

The budget is 9.4% lower than the current year’s budget, largely because of the timing of several capital improvement projects.
