Scottsdale’s Sparkle Bar empowers through makeup

As a woman of color, Alexandra Bradberry was having a hard time finding makeup artists who could do right by her so in 2015 she opened the Sparkle Bar in Old Town Scottsdale.

“I sought to create a place that celebrated each person’s individuality, the thing that made them uniquely them,” Bradberry said. “That’s what we do, we help people feel like the most confident person of themselves through a custom makeup application that serves every skin tone, type, age and ethnicity.”

She’s built up a loyal clientele base, with roughly 66% of her customer base coming back in order to prepare for life’s special moments.
