Scottsdale’s On The Edge Gallery features Carol McDonald

Contemporary abstract artist finds joy in play

Before she found her passion as a contemporary abstract artist, Chandler resident Carol McDonald considered herself to be a “left-brain administrator,” a “paper-pusher” and a “workaholic.”

“My husband thought I needed a hobby in retirement,” McDonald said, who was gifted with some paint supplies and told to “go play.”

It’s been over five years since the start of her artistic journey and McDonald says she’s unlocked something in her she never knew she had.
