Being a citizen of the world means giving to others in need who are beyond your borders.
That was the lesson 35 junior high schools students at the Scottsdale-based International School of Arizona learned recently when they spent the day packing boxes of food at the Feed My Starving Children nonprofit.
“I learned that a small group of people, like ISA, can make a big difference for people who are less fortunate,” eighth grade student Kiptyn Ko said. “I also learned how the food we packed gets shipped and delivered to places thousands of miles away.”
