Scottsdale’s Banner Health upgrades surgery robots

Banner Health is upgrading its surgical robot fleet to Intuitive’s da Vinci 5 system, reinforcing its nonprofit mission to reinvest every dollar back into exceptional patient care.

This upgrade is rolling out across Banner hospitals in Arizona, Colorado and Wyoming where da Vinci robotic assisted surgery is already performed. The system will have a total of 49 da Vinci 5 robots across the system, according to a press release.

As a nonprofit health system, Banner is driven to provide access to high-quality affordable care to the communities it serves. This commitment enables the organization to reinvest earnings into new technologies, expanded services, facility improvements, and medical education – ensuring communities have access to world-class care.
