Rose McBride, 85, of Scottsdale, is a contestant in the 2023 Ms. Senior Arizona Pageant slated for Saturday, June 10, at the Palm Ridge Recreation Center, 1300 W. Deer Valley Drive, Sun City West.
She is part of a lineup of 15 competitors who are seeking to dethrone the 2022 Ms. Senior Arizona Pageant winner, Patricia Person. Doors open to the public at 3 p.m., and the curtain opens at 3:30 p.m. to see the ladies in the pageant, which is for ages 60 and up. General admission tickets are $25.
Marice Kunz, this year’s pageant coordinator, made sure the ladies, whose ages ranged from 60 to 85, practiced until they said their memorized lines with ease, showcased talents without flaws, walked with style and grace, plus got the choreography during a rehearsal held in May at Palm West Community Church’s Hoover Hall in Sun City West.
