Scottsdale: Whitmer fired for everything from alleged offensive language to allegedly helping friends with city business

The City of Scottsdale has built an 18-page case against Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borrowsky’s former chief of staff, who was fired March 20

The report describes Whitmer’s alleged transgressions going back to Oct. 24, 2025 — just two months after becoming Borowsky’s right-hand man.

The document lays out seven categories of improper behavior laid out against him that allegedly occurred over the length of Whitmer’s tenure, with more accusations against him coming after he was placed on nondisciplinary paid leave on Jan. 14.
