Scottsdale Water reopens water conservation rebates

Scottsdale Water is reintroducing its Water Conservation Rebate Program, offering financial incentives to help residents, businesses and homeowner associations save water while reducing utility costs.

Unlike water used indoors for showers, sinks and laundry, which is collected, treated and can potentially be reused, most irrigation water is absorbed by landscapes or evaporates and does not return to the wastewater system, according to a press release. As a result, outdoor water conservation is one of the most effective ways customers can help protect Scottsdale’s long-term water supplies.

The expanded rebate program is one part of Scottsdale’s long-term water strategy, which combines conservation, infrastructure investments and diversified water resources to ensure a reliable water supply.
