Scottsdale water, sewer rates possibly increasing next year

Public hearing set for May 14

Scottsdale’s water and sewer rates may be going up next year.

By approving its consent agenda during its Feb. 6 meeting, the Scottsdale City Council approved a notice to increase water and sewer rates. The public hearing on the matter is scheduled during the council’s May 14 meeting.

The increase is expected to raise an additional $8.5 million, which is roughly a 7% budgetary increase.
