Scottsdale Unified settles federal lawsuit with former teacher

The Scottsdale Unified School district settled a lawsuit with former elementary school teacher Brooke Schneider, who had alleged she was intimidated and retaliated against in a federal lawsuit.

On Aug. 16, the district governing board agreed to settle the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. The settlement amount is undisclosed, according to district officials.

Schneider filed the Civil Rights Act-based lawsuit against the district on Sept. 4, 2021.
