Scottsdale Unified School District to offer new job positions within the district

Some roles will be temporary based on emergency grant funding for COVID-19

At the May 24 Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board meeting, the board approved three new positions throughout the district to be financed by emergency relief funds.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, state education agencies and school districts received grants to assist with any adjustments or setbacks.

The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund, or ESSER, was initially dispersed by Congress through the CARES Act in March of last year to help manage any COVID-19 burdens that schools around the country faced.
