Scottsdale Unified partially renews contract with Hop Skip Drive

District retains relationship with transportation company after driver arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting student

The Scottsdale Unified School District will continue to use a student transportation service on a limited basis despite one of its drivers being arrested in April for allegedly sexually assaulting a special education student over two days in April.

The district’s governing board voted 3-1 during it’s June 11 meeting to use Hop Skip Drive next year on a month to month basis for six months with a spending limit of $325,000.

Board member Zach Lindsay was not present at the meeting and board member Carine Werner voted against the move.
