While students are away for the summer, Scottsdale Unified School District continues to plan for the coming year, with the governing board approving the district’s 2022-23 budget on July 12.
During the budget planning process, district staff were not able to factor in the state’s budget as it was not approved until June 28. The governing board also met on June 28 to discuss the budget.
According to a press release from the governor’s office, the budget for fiscal year 2023 makes a lot of improvements to the state’s primary and secondary education systems, which is the most significant increase in the last eight years.
