The Scottsdale Unified School District will be asking voters to extend the maintenance and operations override on the Nov. 7 ballot.
The district’s governing board voted 4-1 during its May 16 meeting to put the question on the ballot.
If passed, the override would raise $22.1 million annually for needs such as maintaining current class size ratios, maintaining full-day kindergarten classes and programs like music, arts, world languages, athletics and co-curricular activities. It would also provide competitive teacher compensation.
