Scottsdale Unified accepts grant aimed at homeless assistance

Federal dollars will help with school supplies, personal hygiene, encourage stability

The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board has accepted two “mini grants” totaling about $90,000 to assist students who are homeless.

The grants were accepted during a May 24 Governing Board meeting.

The homeless mini grants provide funds to support SUSD students who are eligible to receive services under the McKinny-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
