Scottsdale to purchase four new ambulances

The city of Scottsdale will fund the purchase of four new ambulances with more than $1.61 million.

The funding is the first phase of a three-phase project to get ambulance service in the city.

It will cover the costs of a certificate of necessity with the Arizona Department of Health Services needed to approve the city in bringing in the ambulance. The application was expected to be submitted on Dec. 7, with potential approval in early spring 2023.
