After missing out on it last year, the Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West is looking to collect $250,000 owed to it by the city of Scottsdale.
The money is due to the museum by the city per an agreement signed by both sides in 2021, according to Scottsdale Tourism and Events coordinator Karen Churchard. The agreement states the city will pay the museum $400,000 as a donation match and $250,000 for “management expenses.”
However, the city did not pay the management expenses portion last year.
