The City of Scottsdale is cracking down further on short-term rental owners.
The city code already requires them to register the name of a person, who can be contacted — 24 hours a day, seven days a week — in order to be able to go to the home within an hour if contacted by police because of an emergency.
But the council voted unanimously during its Aug. 24 meeting to require that same person respond to police — either by phone or email —in the event of a complaint that falls short of an emergency.
