Scottsdale’s proposed fiscal year 2023-24 budget keeps the city’s sales tax rate where it currently stands but increases the property tax rate as well as user fees for water, waste water treatment and solid waste collection.
The $2.54 billion budget was reviewed by city council during its April 25 meeting. The tentative budget will be voted on May 16 and the final budget will be up for approval during the council’s June 13 meeting.
The budget breaks down into three silos: operating budget and grants at $739.1 million, capital improvements at $1.376 billion, and contingencies and reserves at $425.3 million.
