Scottsdale Schools extends mask mandate for time being

The Scottsdale Unified School District will continue to require COVID-19 face masks for students and staff while indoors on campus for another couple of weeks, district officials announced.

In a Sept. 27 letter to SUSD families, officials stated the mask mandate would remain in place until after Oct. 15, which is the end of the district’s fall break.

The decision was made after Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Katherine Cooper ruled on Sept. 27, that the way the state of  Arizona  prohibited mask mandates was unconstitutional.
